Hello friends, family, and strangers. I have created this petition in hopes of getting the attention of the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) in order to receive funding for treatment. I have been struggling with an eating disorder since I was 16 years old and do not have the money to fund my own treatment. I have reached out to several facilities across the country and in the United States but residential treatment costs anywhere from 800-1500 dollars a day. I have been to residential treatment before when I was 17 but it was not successful as I continue to struggle at the age of 19. I am ready to recover this time for myself but cannot do this alone.
