My girls are my pets and they dont bother anyone. We just want fresh eggs for the kids. Leave our birds alone!
KEEP THE CHICKENS. My garden needs the fertilizer and the eggs are better than store bought ones anyway.
LET US KEEP OUR HENS! STOP THE OVERREACH!
This is ridiculous. The city has way bigger problems to worry about than a few backyard hens. Get a grip Lansing.
I really dont see the big deal. Dogs bark all night and thats perfectly fine but a quiet hen is a problem? Makes no sense.

The momentum is undeniable now. Lansing cannot ignore us any longer.

Chickens are a valuable asset for food and eggs for the family on a limited income. One person should not have a personal bias that limits the whole. Perhaps it would be logical to say "No Roosters" which can disturb neighbors and that would be a reasonable limitation. Roosters crowing at dawn can be a problem, but chickens (female) are very quiet, far quieter than dogs.
