The scale of this response has secured a meeting with the District Superintendent. I am finalizing the formal briefing document for that discussion to ensure our requirements are clear.

Fort Ross is a treasure. Really hope they find a way to keep the doors open for everyone. Dont let it go shut!
My kids went on a field trip here last year and loved it. You cant just close history down because of money. This place means so much to our community.

Am shocked this is even a possibility. Please! We’ve lost so much.
I am against this industrial sea water extraction project taking place in the Historic Fort Ross area and vicinity. There are Steller Sea Lions(federally protected ), California Sea Lions Brown Pelicans and numerous sea and shorebirds that reside on the rocks and along the coast in the proposed area. This is critical habitat for their survival in terms of rest foraging and protecting their offspring. There are native and endemic plants and flowers and the marine ecosystem(invertebrates, kelp/algae) which would be negatively impacted by this project. This also lies within the Greater Farallones/Cordell Banks National Marine Sanctuary waters and coastline. This is a sanctuary for all life, visitors from around the world, residents and the animal and plant species who reside along this coast. Thank you for recieving these comments Sara Bogard

We, our parents, our grandparents, etc have paid into saving this for us, our kids, grandkids, etc.. we shouldn't need to lose it to miss management practices.
