We, the undersigned, believe the Riverdale A.E. Doyle building is an iconic feature of our Riverdale neighborhood heritage. The Doyle building adorns our school district seal because it serves as the symbol of our long tradition of community commitment to educational excellence. We are privileged to have a beautiful example of the genius of renowned architect A.E. Doyle in our neighborhood. We believe preservation of the Doyle building honors our heritage and teaches responsible stewardship to the children of our schools. We support an historic renovation of the A.E. Doyle building, preserving the exterior architecture of A.E. Doyle while transforming the interior into a 21st century space for learning. We value our heritage. We value our community. We value our children. We value our school. We value the A. E. Doyle building. Save the Riverdale Doyle building! NOTE: The A.E. Doyle building is the main grade school building. ATTN: The web host we are using is a little "buggy" has trouble with showing some comments. This petition will be submitted to the Riverdale School Board to urge an historic preservation of the A.E. Doyle building as part of the RGS campus improvement funded by the Riverdale bond. Keep the exterior! Modernize inside if you have to but dont tear down a landmark just to save a few bucks on construction.

I went there in the 70s. That building is Riverdale. Dont destroy our memories for some boring glass box.

My kids go here and it would be a shame to lose all that history. That building has so much character you just dont see anymore.

Fix it up. We have enough empty lots in this town we dont need another one where the Doyle building used to be.

Historic preservation is worth the extra cost. Keep it standing.
