This is just another example of the council binning our heritage for some cheap modern eyesore. Why spend millions on a water sports centre when our own pier is rotting away right in front of us. Sort it out.

Please do not demolish the pier, I remember going on it some years ago and the view of the bay was beautiful and it has so much historic interest. The water sports centre is hideous. The pier could have been rescued years ago - there always seems to be money for new developments - it's been deliberately allowed to deteriorate so council can push for demolition on safety and visual grounds. Listen to what people want!
