Save Chesterfield Co-operative Department Store

To: Martin Cheatle, Midlands Co-operative Society Dear Martin We do not want Chesterfield to lose the department store that has been a part of our lives, our parents and our grandparents lives. We do not want Chesterfield Town Centre to become a collection of chain stores, charity shops and pound stores. We value the Chesterfield Co-op because it sells quality goods and charges reasonable prices. If the Co-op closes we will be forced to shop online for appliances, toys, cosmetics, home and kitchenwares because there is nowhere else in Chesterfield Town centre that we can buy these products. I urge you to consider other ways of keeping the store open, such as a management buy-out, and advertising campaigns to encourage people to shop there, instead of buying online, highlighting that they will lose the town centre if they continue to do so.
