There are so many more Innocent People incarcerated in prison and in jail .Then their are Guilty people..And this is all due to lack of evidence supporting the supposive crime,DNA not being used in certain cases in which it should be used to determine Guilt Ecspecially in cases involving Rape,Statutory sexual assault,Indescent assault,Murder and etc.Any crime in which DNA can prove Guilt or Innocence. There are so many men and woman that are incarcerated innocently. And mostly are incarcerated because they are or were not able to afford a paid lawyer and basically these innocent people are railroaded by their own counsel Cause they are paid a paycheck no matter what way it goes. And that is not fair at all,The Free counsel and etc need to fight just as hard for their client as would a paid lawyer..It shouldn't matter what poverty level a person is at they deserve the same Justice then the next person.More thorough investigations need to take place. My best friend Lamar Porter has spent 12+ years of his life in prison for a crime that he did NOT commit at trial they did NO investigation no DNA nothing they just said BAM guilty and the sad part is he has witnesses willing to testify if he can ever get his case back into the court room. So I am writing this petition too ask everyone too help convict the right criminal and let the innocent go.

I honestly cannot believe how many people are seeing this right now because I remember when I was just sitting here staring at the screen and hoping for even one person to notice. It feels like things are finally shifting for Lamar and everyone else trapped in this mess even though I am still so overwhelmed by how fast it is all moving forward at this moment.

There was a number of flaws in the case and the lawyer didn't do his job. One of the witness was a crack head and said on stand she get high everyday. Prosecutor ask , are you high now she said yes she was higher than a mug.

I've been in prison with lots of good guys that don't deserve to be there and it broke my heart

I have a loved one and he didn’t do what he is in there for and he a smart man he had everything going for him and they just snatched him away from me in a blink of an eye. Sirius underwood. I believe they need to let him go to court and find the real person. Because he 100 percent didn’t go this rather then wanting to close case just to get a pay check and not worry about who actually did it. They are People too imagine going to jail for something you didn’t do and never seeing your family again or missing your kids grow up all bc you are in jail for something you didn’t do. If you have a heart sign this and help

We all should be "proven" guilty before we're convicted. I hope Lamar is given a new trial where evidence of his innocence can be considered.

No DNA was tested from the weapon, a bat, or tape found. The investigator said no DNA was tested because it was a crack house. We are talking about a young man's civil liberties. Lamar had never been in any trouble with the criminal justice prior to this incident. Lamar was at the wrong place at the wrong time with someone who had a length juvenile record. Lamar was not given a fair trial at all. Lamar also has not been in any trouble since being incarcerated at the tender age of 18. I implore the courts to give him a new fair trial.
