Please sign this petition to let Vigo County School Board Administrator’s know that we do not want to loose swimming as a High School sport in Vigo County. Closing all the high school pools because of costs is not an option we want. Swimming is more than a sport; it is an activity that anyone can do at some level for the rest of their life. It is an activity not only for the fit, but for the unfit, and for the young and for the old; for the physically disabled, for the blind, for the hearing impaired, for the intellectually impaired. This is the ONLY sport that caters to ALL people, regardless. Author Unknown: A swimmer is not only part of a team but a family. A swimmer is not just an athlete but a superhero.
