We, the undersigned, ask that you reconsider the decision to render the BYOC useless and unfit for fragging. We the BYOC attendee's feel that Quakecon these past 2 years was poorly received by the community that created it (ie: the community thought it sucked) due to the misrepresentations of the convention to the target audience by its sponsors. We believe Quakecons focus has shifted towards retail commercialization as demonstrated by the newly added convenience store and the addition of Quakecon done Quick; a pay for early BYOC access set up program. Early set up has always been free and this is obviously just a way to cash in. Being that Quakecon was created as a community event, by the community and was free to the public before sponsors, id software or zenimax for that matter were introduced - these addition's are appalling and of great concern to those who have been attending Quakecon since its inception. If the overlords of Quakecon do not allow the convention to resume peacefully as a real BYOC lan by rectifying the BYOC issues raised here, the lack of a solid network capable of supporting the latest and greatest shooters, RTS and dc++ (because file sharing isn't illegal) and instead continue to ignore the call of the thousands of displeased BYOC attendees - we wont just quit coming to Quakecon. Saddened - We'll be forced to organize our own, better convention. Regards, The Undersigned

Seriously fix the network and bring back the soul of the event. Paying for early access is just a cash grab and ruins what this used to be. Do better.

Total joke what they have done to the byoc area. Stop trying to turn it into a mall and let us actually game like we used to. Really disappointing.
