We the undersigned ask the Home Secretary to grant asylum to Alvin Gahimbaze and ask he not be deported back to Burundi where he will face persecution because of his ethnicity and sexual orientation.

The increase in support has provided the necessary leverage to request a formal meeting with the Home Office. We are finalizing the legal brief to present alongside your signatures when that discussion takes place.

This is heartbreaking. Nobody should have to live in fear like this. Let him stay.
ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. HOW CAN THEY JUST IGNORE THE OBVIOUS DANGER HE FACES?? LET ALVIN STAY.
Total disgrace. He would be in danger the second he lands. Do the right thing for once.
Human rights should come first. He is a member of our community now and we want him here.
Please dont send him back to that. Its not right.

The UK needs to be better than this. Sending him back is basically a death sentence.
