I formerly lived at 12 Zamora St. (still
close by). The street is already densely populated.
I don’t see how it could absorb more units and cars. Changes in the last 10 years
have already altered what was once a JP gem.

My friends live on Zamora—construction of condos on the green space would really take away from the aesthetic and density of the block.

Historic buildings need protection, they were hand built by craftspeople and their work and legacy deserve to be appreciated for generations to come.

I get it: we need more housing. But why here, why destroy this house? Why eliminate green space when all signs point towards how essential it is to combat climate change? How about a competition for architects to adapt this existing structure into the number of units the property is already zoned for? Perhaps some microlofts at an affordable price point (like the Providence Arcade)? A little creativity could go a long way.

I support the new development. JP is a great neighborhood and more people want to live here - and that's a good thing! If we block all new development we are making it harder for working people to afford to live in our neighborhood. JP is and should remain a welcoming community, that does not discriminate, and as such we should support the creation of new homes.
By blocking new housing, current residents are expressing that the only new neighbors they welcome are rich neighbors.

Each house like this that is torn down can never be replaced. Soon the entire character of the neighborhood is changed. For the worse, imho
