Fire station is a must to keep in the town,the distance from bigger stations is too far for the smaller towns in the local area's.

Sutton is a rapidly growing village, with even more large scales housing developments planned in the very near future. Closing down the stations will endanger lives as the community grows, meaning the risks grow for incidents. Our local fire station is a necessity and must remain open to save our homes and lives in the evergrowing population in Sutton and surrounding areas.

Keep Kimbolton open as we are too far away from any support, also for the local villages, takes minimum 15 mins from St.Neots, would be nothing left if it was your house!

There are a number of thatched properties around the Kimbolton area and a local station means firefighters can reach us to prevent total loss in the event of fire. Closure is shortsighted and only to be expected from this dreadful government.

Kimbolton’s single fire engine serves an area of approximately 7,000 homes and businesses, it is a vital resource called upon to assist A14 RTC’s, not to mention the various farming related incidents haystack, equipment (2 in 2023 at least) and crop fires.
Insurance policies are likely to increase due to the extended wait period for tenders to be sent from further afield, all in all it does not seem to be a sensible proposal.

Hugely important to keep our rural areas covered. Thatched cottages, Haybarns and more I strongly believe that the Kimbolton Fire Station should remain open and fully functional.

Absolute utter madness if you must close any close a town one not remote country area I am certain these idiots believe we don't have emergencies in the country side furthermore is it true that the fire service is now first responder for ambulance service what happens there when a farmer gets injured or a fire in a haystack we have to wait for a town service again second class citizens we are only thick country people so don't matter

Despite the fact that “recruitment has been frozen” at all 3 fire stations, affecting several firefighters already in the process of joining Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service - some of which were to have been allocated training courses in the coming months.
The statements below were made to Cambridge news and press by Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, that are published online and undoubtedly will be printed in the local newspapers for you all to read.
“I think the broader issue is that we struggle with recruiting on-call firefighters. A petition is good but we are striving to identify individuals who might want to come on board.”
“We will continue to drive recruitment and retention.”
