Closing Manea fire station will put the whole village at risk as it would not be possible to reach the village within the target 12 minutes. The closure of this essential service is foolish and potentially deadly!

Absolutely ridiculous! Population has increased over last 30 years, yet we are to lose a vital service. What price on a life?

We need to keep our village fire station, not just to to be quicker in saving property & lives in a rural village but for the feeling of safety & reassurance and the fireman's jobs

Do NOT close Manea Fire Station

No fire station should ever be considered to be closed. Public safety should be a number 1 priority and places like Manea have these fire stations in place for a reason. The closure of this fire station would put Manea out of the response time for a fire crew to arrive on scene at village fires or other rural fires. This could mean the difference between life and death and not sure how anyone could in good conscience close a fire station and sleep at night knowing lives have been put at risk.

I know these decisions are both taken lightly, but please save our fire station from closure.

We are an isolated fenland village that would be placed in a very vulnerable, helpless position if our fire station was to close.Seconds count when lives are at risk

I know there are many risks in the area that require the fire brigade if things go wrong not least the roads especially this time of year. It's also strange why other part time fire stations like St Ives aren't being closed when they can't get a fire crew for most of the time and rely on Huntingdon if something happens

Offers a vital service to this area - St Neots is too far to be able to respond quickly enough

Why do this? Just why? Our nearest 24/7 firestations are about 45 minutes drive away. Let us keep our local retained firefighters!

Manea, Sutton and Kimbolton Fire Stations play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the community by responding to emergencies, including fires, accidents, and other life-threatening situations. The closure of these vital facilities would not only jeopardize the promptness of emergency response but also put lives and property at risk.

Every second counts when there's a fire, having to wait for an appliance to come from out of the village could easily put lives at risk...
