Here at Davis Aerospace & Maritime, a year round school calendar is critical for our programs and opportunities. From August to June of every school year, students are introduced to new experiences in the Maritime field and Aviation field. The district administrators are still dodging our questions while they try to scrap the calendar that makes our aviation and maritime programs possible. I am spending every spare hour fighting their shortsightedness because they seem intent on stripping away the very opportunities that define this school.

Year round schools makes it easier to adapt to school and my job. As a eleventh grader keeping year round schools makes it better for us because we avoid summer learning loss, the schedule is easier for some families, and frequent breaks reduce burnout.
Former Davis student here. I am on track to starting a career in the maritime business as an Interlake captain. This opportunity was only offered to me through an internship that wouldn’t be possible without the year round schedule.
Year round schools should be the standard NOT the exception! Ask any teacher how much time they waste on reviewing the last year, instead of continuing on the education process!
This is a school worth fighting for. I just recently learned Cleveland has such a unique school in its portfolio and it's worth the fight to give this school an exception instead of forcing them into the same model.
Changing year round schools will get rid our community connections period here at Digital arts. Some older students are gonna end up losing internships and opportunities that help them succeed.

The argonaut program Is one of the most successful programs in cleveland public schools if you change year round school you will lose the program stop thinking with your pockets and think about are youths future do u want the legacy as the district that took away these youths opportunity
