My daughter is on the autism spectrum and Wood Canyon has been wonderful to her. We have been blessed with wonderful teachers and staff.

What so special about CRA that you are closing Wood Canyon in lieu of it. Please consider that you are creating competition, raising passion, creating unrest in our own community. If CRA is demanding more space by allowing the enrollment and helping them in the process and denying the same rights to Wood Canyon is that a fair judgement in your own community? Please take a mature and unbiased look at what is in the best interest for the residents of Aliso Viejo

The attraction of Aliso Viejo, and the reason it has grown over the years is due to the fact that it is a nice area that had good schools, a good place to raise a family. Further impaction of schools is a disservice to the community as a whole, and it would be a very poor move for Aliso's board to allow.

I taught pre-school at Wood Canyon for 13 years before being moved to make room for CRA, please keep Wood Canyon open!

Instead of closing this public school for a charter school that is public yet exclusive, find a solution to fix what is wrong. It is not fair that my children's school, that is already full will be affected even more and that the students attending this school will be displaced.

Classes are already too big! The surrounding elementary schools are just going to absorb 450 kids and not be negatively impacted? They cannot support that type of influx.

Pls. keep the school open!! I'm sure there's a lot of memories that these students have made that are very much cherished and I am very definate that there's many more they're hoping to make. So pls don't take it away from them :(

Families who apply and attend charter schools do so with an understanding and willingness to travel outside of their home community if needed. That is their choice. My family specifically located within Wood Canyon boundaries, after a great deal of researching of other schools, to attend Wood Canyon and become connected with others within the school. Closing a public school within a city of young families makes no sense. Aliso Viejo needs the public schools that are currently in use to accommodate for those who live in Aliso Viejo.

It is senseless to shut down a well functioning school. The purpose of charter schools is to serve under performing and under served areas. Wood Canyon is neither under performing nor under served. There are other locations in the district that may fit this description, but Wood Canyon certainly does not.

ive had experience with the Charter School...not impressed with the teaching methods. Lack of structure and organization was confusing and frustrating. I don't believe it is fair to close Wood Canyon

My nephews go to Wood Canyon Elementary School and let me say that they are A/B students! The teachers there are Awesome! It is because of them that they are exceeding expectations, and excelling in school. The teachers there are experienced, supportive, understanding, knowledgeable, are part of the community there. If Wood Canyon is allowed to be closed, I fear for my nephew's educational progress, and development!
