Charter schools were never meant to replace public elementary schools, simply provide an alternative. If this is allowed to happen it would certainly prove that "no good deed goes unpunished". What kind of message does this send to parents, kids and teachers alike? Kindness is repaid with cruelty??

please keep wood canyon open, change is not good for this community, too many children involved, they would all be devastated, why make life tougher now, when these students get older, they will be able to handle change., this school is family orientated and must stay the same. Why make life more complicated than it already is.

It would make more sense for the Charter School to relocate if they want to expand as it would be better for both.
Wood Canyon has been around longer than Aliso itself and has a very strong sense of community in the area.
I will have both my children at Wood Canyon next year and I for one do not think this is a good idea. Wood Canyon closing would have a dramatic effect on other schools in the area which no one wants.

Closing a school for another school option makes absolutely no sense. Have been through this before with losing our neighborhood school to another school idea put pressure on the school my kids were transferred to with talk of satellite classrooms. Just plain stupidity!!!!

The parents and the students need wood canyon to stay open. It's a great school with great teachers office staff and principal. Community roots charter school needs to find a new home somewhere else.

this was my school 7 years ago and as well as my little sisters school.
I have so many wonderful memories there, they can't close it down!

I have 3 children at Wood Canyon. They love their school and the friendships they have made. We would be devestated if they had to go somewhere else. The fact that there are 3 other schools in Aliso Viejo that are at capacity proves that we need 4 elementary schools! The city is still growing with plans of building new homes. This alone should be enough reason to keep Wood Canyon in tact!

Wood Canyon gave a strong base to my children. One received a scholarship to college and the other will begin the honor programs in high school.

I went to Wood Canyon k-2 grades. Wood Canyon is such a GREAT school and they have many MANY encouraging teachers there... Why would you want to close a school that is full of joy and love?
