My daughter had gone to Don Juan Elementary and had the WORST experience there. Now is currently at Wood Canyon and is 110% better thanks to the caring and support, wonderful teachers . It would be ashamed and a tragedy if this school were to close. Please keep Wood Canyon open it is best for the students and Aliso Viejo

I went to an interview for a teaching position with Community Roots Academy once. I was not impressed with their leaders or teachers. Please, let's keep the doors of a great school open: Wood Canyon Elementary School! I know teachers at Wood Canyon and they are great! They are dedicated, caring, and the students and parents love them!!! Thank you.

These endorsements are why we are in this situation now. Don't forget who is behind this and make your vote matter in the next school board elections. Endorsements The Republican Party of Orange County endorsed Trustee Area 4 candidate Craig P. Alexander, Trustee Area 6 incumbent Ellen M. Addonizio and Trustee Area 7 candidate Julie Collier.[9] The California Charter School Association (CCSA) Advocates and the Lincoln Club of Orange County, as well as California Senator Mimi Walters (R), California Assemblywoman Diane Harkey (R), California Assemblyman Don Wagner (R) and Capistrano Unified School District Board of Trustees member Jim Reardon, also endorsed Alexander, Addonizio and Collier.[10][11][12][13] Addonizio and Collier were also endorsed by the California Republican Assembly (CRA) and the Talega Residents for Fair Taxation.[11][13] Collier, along with Alexander, were also received the endorsement of the Atlas PAC.

Wood Canyon needs to stay open for the children that go there and for the other children in the other schools, so that the other school don't get over populated.

I just moved here from out of state and this is the first school my kids have ever loved and enjoyed being at everyday. I will be devastated if we have to relocate them AGAIN!!!

Our school Crown Valley Elementary is at risk to shut down, as well! Good luck and hope CRE finds a place to build their own school rather than take over any of our schools!

My grandson goes there. He doesn't need to go to another school.

My son is starting 4th grade. He's been at Wood Canyon since he started Kindergarten. Please don't let this school be closed. It's not fair what Community Roots Academy is trying to do!

My daughter attends Wood Canyon. I can't believe they want to close it when other schools are so crowded.

It's just not right for Community Roots Academy to take over Wood Canyon and dislodge all their children.

Wood. Canyon must remain a public school for the sake of all of Aliso Viejo families with school aged children. Every public grade school in Aliso Viejo is over capacity. Closing Wood Canyon will only add to the over crowding of the other grade schools.

Wood Canyon was "home" for all three of my kids for twelve straight years and was instrumental in their growth as people and students. PLEASE do not close this gem of a school!! The campus has seen it's share of upheaval over the years - enough is enough! It is obvious that closing Wood Canyon would negatively impact far more families and students than relocating CRA to a more suitable location. PLEASE KEEP WOOD CANYON ELEMENTARY OPEN FOR OUR YOUNG AND GROWING ALISO VIEJO COMMUNITY!!
