So sad they are doing this. Glad it's my kids last year there and don't have to deal with that drama anymore.

Please keep this school open. Most of the Elementary schools in the area have more than 30 students in each class. You wonder why the kids level education is so low these days...Too many kids for one teacher. The parents has to do lots of work at home to compensate. If schools will be closed it will get worst. Not everyone can afford private schools.

Keep our public school available for OUR community. All Aliso elementary schools are busting at the seams with 30+ students in each class room. NO open enrollment available, so we can't move to another school in Aliso unless we go private or sit on a list for a Charter or go to Mission Viejo... How is that fair to TAX PAYING residents. If you open more classrooms at Wood Canyon and lower student / classroom ratio, you will have more enrollment, better education, better test scores, happy student, happy parents... Who's agenda is this anyway. Community Roots says it's not theirs... if that's true, who's is it?

Aliso Viejo needs Wood Canyon to help support our young and growing community. The other schools are already at capacity so we need awesome Wood Canyon!

Wood Canyon is a wonderful school with dedicated staff and children. Wood Canyon should remain open as the public school for that neighborhood.

The elementary schools are already crowded and understaffed. This closure would highly impact all public elementary students in our City.

Save Wood canyon. Too many of Capo schools are impacted or overly crowded already. This will only make it worse...

Until there's a full Strategy as to where all the students that attend wood canyon now would be placed it seems like a rush to judgment to turn wood canyon into a charter school just yet. I had a student that attended kindergarten at wood canyon and I was not impressed with the school at all and I pulled him out of wood canyon for that reason however after attending Canyon Vista I'm concerned that the students at wood canyon would get sent to Canyon Vista and overcrowd the school and lower the school rating. This would not only be a challenge for Canyon Vista as well as a good meal elementary and other already overcrowded schools in the area. Woodcanyon needs to remain open but there needs to be some overhaul in that school it's run down and a lot of the teachers seem like they're on their last leg before retirement and they really don't care about the school. Unless your plan is to Grant every student who attends wood canyon a place at the new charter school you're going to overcrowd the other schools in the area
