We just found out that the Wendell Park Children's centre will be closing in the summer. We need as many of you local Mums, Dads, Carers and residents to HELP US CAMPAIGN to save it.
This is a place of great nurturing for our kids and the best local children's centre.

We are approaching one hundred signatures which marks a significant initial milestone for our campaign. Please circulate this request to neighbors who care about the future of the Wendell Park Children's Centre.

As a young mum, places like this are vital. I would have easily slipped into post natal depression had I not had venues like this to go to.
My adopted son and now my daughter have used this centre over the last 5 years and it had been an important place to bond and allow the children to develop whilst forming important networks with other mums. It is very convenient to all the other local amenities so served the local community very well.
This centre is a really valuable local resource. Keisha and her team always provide a genuine and warm welcome along with good advice. This centre was a huge support when I first became a mother and ever since over the last 6 years. Please don't close it.
The children's centre is fantastic. It provides a a fantastic facility for babies, children and carers. It also provides a support network for carers to meet. It's always extremely busy. I'm sure many of the people who attend would be happy to pay a small donation to attend stay and play. Closing the centre would be a huge loss to the community.
The closure of centres like this is such a tragic false economy. Parents desperately need this valuable resource.

I've been using the Wendell Park Children's Centre for the past 5 years and now my children go to Wendell School. On days when you have to get out of the house (ie every day with small children) the centre is a safe haven, out of the elements where children are stimulated and socialise & mums find others going through the same challenges they are.
