This a place for people to meet & talk to one another old & young, and enjoy a game of bowls, which as you get older you need the excercise,We don't need anymore Gyms we have enough in Watford already!! keep the club open for everyone to enjoy. The Xmas lunches & partys were always a good time had by all.

This Club is an essential venue all the year round and especially during the winter months. Watford Council seems to have a strange way of encouraging activity. An active person is more likely not to need medical attention.

Watford council should look at all the clubs that do not pay their rent and those that get very cheap rent. My family left a large sum to a sports club at Woodside and they always got very cheap rent.

WIBC provides the physical exercise, mental stimulation and social opportunity that the government actively encourage in people. Professional bodies have identified the benefits of this activity, as well as similar activities. It increases mental capacity, and stimulates mental and physical activity. All these factors reduces the strain on the NHS and Social Care. I petition that the benefits of WIBC are too important for all the community and council to lose.

This is a sport that enables some disabled players to take part where most others require more mobility. It also provides a social atmosphere that would be difficult to replace.

Any loss of a well supported local facility is a very short sighted move on WBC’s part.

You need to remember that it is the Senior Citizens who are the ones that vote you into office. On this disgraceful act you are attempting you will loose the votes which you rely on to put you in office. On this act alone you will fail in the next elections

Closure of the Watford Indoor Bowls Club would be extremely detrimental in terms of the physical, social and psychological well-being of very many men and women, mostly of pensionable age, for whom there is very little alternative provision for these crucial aspects in their lives. This money-grabbing Council should be ashamed of even considering this move without also seriously considering the knock-on effects and consequent expenses
