The council are clearly not following government guidelines regarding keeping
Fit and active and thus in the long term saving the BHS and Government a serious amount of money

If the club closes, it would ruin so many people’s lives. It keeps us fit and healthy. Please, please think twice before you make a terrible mistake.

A bowls club is not just a giant shed housing a bowling green, but a collection of bowls players who are friends and have an affinity with one another, almost like a family.
To separate them and force them to join another club will result in a great number of bowlers giving up the sport that they love. This application from the council is shameful.

WIBC is a hive of activity for around 300 mostly elderly members plus the many hundreds of visitor players. The club provides its members with invaluable physical activity and social interaction. why on earth would anyone think that taking away this facility is a good idea ???

The council have been extremely difficult and I feel completely out of order on this matter and avoided all of the benefits that
The club makes to its members and as a result costs the Council nothing

I suffer from Parkinsons, getting to bowl helps me to overcome my worries and meet friends. I cannot get to Herts BC, so no Woodside, no bowls.

To destroy this community based club would be a travesty. Another case of not looking after the older generation!

This is a terrible situation to put the older generation in...they have very little for pleasure in the local area whereas the youths have a wide range of activities. Most parents can drive their children to a variety of activities if required. The bowls club is the only a social hub for the older generation who don't have the option or ability to travel further a field. Have a heart....

Totally obscene idea, to take away some peoples only social and leisure connection is just disgusting and morally criminal.
