Walter is a SERVICE dog-- let him be one. Maybe others need not provoke him at the fence or otherwise. They tell to leave service dogs (in any capacity) alone and only have handler give commands and handling.

This is ridiculous. He has done absolutely no harm. Return him to the family that he love and that loves him. This is not only cruelty to a dog but to a human family!!

The breed ban has recently been abolished in my hometown (Lima, OH) by the 3rd District Court of Appeals and is being/has been abolished in several cities because it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Walter is confined in his OWN backyard. I haven't met a dog yet who does not bark at someone walking by his fence. Does that make all dogs aggressive?

Aren't there more important things for people to focus on in this town? I'd think that the politicians in town would be grateful that an adopted animal has had a such a positive effect on a few of it's citizens.

This is truly sad that your city has taken this stance against this dog for jumping and barking. He's in a fenced yard, he hurt no one. Is your city going to start labeling all dogs that bark and jump "dangerous". If that's the case, puppy owners beware. ALL dog owners beware. Your town doesn't sound pet friendly at all and this is disappointing. Walter is a trained service dog and you need to take his training into consideration, not to mention the benefit he brings to this family. I think its time you charge the neighbor for taunting and teasing Walter. He's the danger to your community, not Walter.

Let the poor dog go back to his owners - he's done nothing wrong. This treatment is diabolical.

Jumping against a fence. This is so idiotic I feel prosecuting this case is sheer stupidity.

Please don't separate this SERVICE dog from it's owner. You are reacting to fear from an uneducated person. Please don't do that!

That's just bull! Hell, my dogs ( a chihuahua, a dachshund and two retriever mix) jump and bark at the fence every time when someone walks by. They are just letting them know that is their home. Dogs bark, that is what they are supposed to do. All Pit Bulls are not bad. It is the STUPID people who mistreat them and train them to be mean and give them a bad wrap. (ANY DOG CAN BE TRAINED TO DO THAT) She needs her dog and friend! Obviously he's never hurt anyone in the past!! People need to stop stereotyping!! He hasn't caused any problems... so what's the issue? Maybe some neighbors who want to cause a problem?

Neighbor should mind their own business and leave this family alone. Label "Dangerous Neighbor" should be attached to the fence.
