The neighbor should not be banging the fence in the first place. He's just wanting to any the dog. The dog didn't do anything. You need to cite the idiot who wants the dog gone.

This case, if it can even he called that, is ridiculous. Dogs are protective of their yards. Agitating them will get a response. Service dogs are trained to respond. Sounds more like the neighbor needs to be charged with harassment.

This dog is doing his job for his owner, he is not a dangerous dog, the person that hit the fence should be the one who is going to court for trying to provoke the dog.

Dear Mayor Butler:
I'm writing today in support of Sharon McAlister, her disabled son Adam and his service dog, Walter.
It is my understanding that you intend to side with the prosecution in this matter and have Walter registered as a dangerous dog.
Walter has never attacked another human being or animal in his life. He was rescued from a shelter several years ago and has been a member of the McAlister family and a service dog for their son, Adam, completely changing his quality of life and frankly, the quality of life for the entire McAlister family.
If he had at all harmed another person or animal, then this would be a different story altogether. However, that is not the case. Their neighbor has been caught on several occasions agitating Walter and attempting to video the ordeal. Any animal behaves in this manner when taunted or teased, especially in defense of their property and family.
For the above reasons, I hope that you will seriously reconsider your stance in siding with the prosecution. Walter is a cherished member of the family and this decision could ultimately endanger not just his life but the life of a disabled member of your community.
Please use your influence and voice for the greater good in this situation -the well being of many are depending on it.

Walter was a lab, or some other "harmless" breed, this wouldn't even have gone anywhere. How is he dangerous if he's never harmed anyone??

How can people be so evil? seriously, this angel does more for his beloved owner than Anyone. Please don't take away his friend and companion, for most of us our dogs arent pets they are family, he is a big dog and understands he has to protect his owner, he cant hear listen well so he does it for him, he pushes his chair, unconditional love.
