I dog can so easily be disposed of because he is intimidated and jumps on a fence??? A person can bash and rob a disabled person and get away with a slap on the wrist (and of course a fine for revenue) …Where is the irony here?????????

Punish the wrongdoer: the neighbor. He clearly provoked the dog. Don't reward him for bad behavior.

He was doing what any dog would do, protecting his yard and owner. My springer and teddybear would have done the same thing.

I'm signing this again!!! I have a 13 year old pittie and he is in my eyes and millions of other eyes just a dog that loves, shows kindness, compassion and loyalty. Ignorance and uneducated people need to get themselves some education so maybe this unnecessary situation would not exist in this world!!!! Walter belongs with his family... Plain and simple!!!!

I find this to be a questionable case all around. If Walter was agitated and reacted, then charges should be on the jerk that picks on a disabled man's service dog. Yes I said service dog. As someone familiar with service dogs due to family members coming in with PTSD and a brother who is burned and has severe anxiety and needs a service dog but can't have one because people are idiots. Much like the male agitating the poor dog who is trying to protect his person. I suggest you, your honor study a bit about personality traits of service dogs and how good they are for their person. Not dangerous or threatening. Just protective! Much better than 90% of humans including what seems to be ignorance of the prosecutor and this court if it even considers a service dog replaceable! Not a good idea. Maybe you should check into why this particular prosecutor wants to even proceed with this idiotic case.

Do not prosecute any one in this situation unless it is the neighbor who is harassing the dog. The dog is trained to help his master, and he is just doing his job.

Him dangerous.
My 4 145 pound Newfoundlands would have done the same. These dogs range from 14 years to 3 years and have never harmed anything.
Use common sense folks!! He had a right to bark at someone attacking his property!!!!!

Most dogs know the fence is their property/territory. It is provoking a dog to be defensive by banging on the fence. A service dog as most loyal well taken care of dogs sense the need to be protective of their humans. This does not mean it is an aggressive dog.
