I don't feel Walters life should be at stake or he should be taken away as the service dog he was trained to be. If someone is harassing the dog which happens to my dogs by the neighborhood kids daily it's not the dogs fault. Dogs bark they certainly can't talk now can they? He doing his job his patient owner is almost deaf of course he's going to bark and make some noise! He was trained to do so for a deaf person!!!!

A dog is allowed self defense too just like humans... Simply because he cannot communicate in hunan language doesn't mean he doesn't have emotions like fear and hurt!! Give them a chance!!
