This is incredibly cruel and doesn't make sense. Sounds like neighbor being an asshat, in that case the gentleman doesn't need to let his animal alone -ever.

This man needs this dog, his condition is only going to get worse and he will need the dog more that ever. I have a friend with the same disease and his dog does everything for him..

Charge the neighbor not the dog owner its a felony to agrivate and interupt and interfere with a service dog the courts need to learn their ADA laws and fine the neighbor

A service dog, no matter the breed, is the greatest companion of a disabled person. Finding a trained is neither easy or inexpensive.

The dog is harmless and should be left with his owner. Who the hell does the neighbor think he is tormenting or teasing the dog. Arrest the neighbor for animal cruelty.

An update on Adam and Walter the service dog
The alleged dog killer and abuser responsible for the McAlisters having to fight for their family member, friend and carers life, for them having to publicly ask for help with their legal fees has been named as Steven West. For months West has made the McAlisters life a misery .and for what reason? Their service dog Walter barked. He barked because he is a dog. Dogs communicate by barking. Mr West alleges he feared for himself and his family, he feared a dog that lived behind a six foot plus high fence, a dog that had never shown aggression to either human or animal. His sheer terror of this animal was such that he could casually reach over this six foot plus high fence surrounding the McAlisters property, and record video footage of the aforementioned dog, barking. It should perhaps also be noted that this quivering wreck of a man only recency shot two dogs, which until witnesses came forward, he denied. When the owner asked West why he had shot her Chihuahua he replied he 'did not want the animal on his property' . Witnesses however allegedly state he had left his property and shot the animal in the street then left it to die....
One witness states
..."The neighbor who is accusing Walter of being aggressive is actually responsible for shooting another neighbor's Chihuahua about 6 years ago point blank with a bb gun.
Trixie, who was only about 5 lbs. at the time, was rushed to the vet and saved. The vet could not remove the bb, however, because it was only 2cm from her heart.

With these FACTS in mind: (1) neighbor has been caught on several occasions agitating Walter and attempting to video the ordeal, and (2) most animals, including humans, when taunted or teased, act to defend their property and family; how is it the prosecution is making such an obvious and grave mistake? Right this wrong, please. Do so immediately. Walter is innocent.

How can some people get up everyday and look at themselves in the mirror and not be ashamed! This is wrong on all levels to put this family through all of this. My dogs will also run and bark and carry on at people and other animals if they come in "THEIR" yard or certainly if provoked. This is what dogs do.. Mine are not "dangerous" but if you don't know them... Yes, one would more than likely think they are... And yes, a lot are afraid of mine... Each party stay on their side of the fence and DON'T antagonize the dog...
