This is just totally ridiculous and unjust. There is no reason why Walter (the dog) should be considered a dangerous animal if he hasn't attacked or hurt anyone. Please help this family and do the right thing.

Dear Mayor Butler:
I'm writing today in support of Sharon McAlister, her disabled son Adam and his service dog, Walter. Walter has never attacked another human being or animal in his life. The neighbor has been caught on several occasions agitating Walter and attempting to video the ordeal. Any animal behaves in this manner when taunted or teased, especially in defense of their property and family. Walter is a cherished member of the family and this decision could ultimately endanger not just his life but the life of a disabled member of your community.
