I live in New Zealand so the entire world knows about this farce, and animal lovers and anyone with common sense are appalled. I would be extremely embarrassed to be an American citizen at this time. Come on, Mr Mayor, do the right thing and stop persecuting an innocent service and the family.

BSL Is horrible. What If we treated people like that? Oh, I'm sorry, your grandfather committed murder so you and your children are not welcome to live in any of our cities- ever.
Oh, you're African American, yes our race specific legislations say you can't live in our neighborhood.
Oh, you're Russian? Well were afraid you might be a nazi so we have passed race specific legislation which allows us to put you in the gas chamber.
BSL is just another form of racism.

Mr. Mayor you are an elected official who is responsible for answering to the people. This campaign you are undertaking is a joke. Bulldogs are not vicious and barking doesn't indicate viciousness. You need an education, common sense, and a heart. I'm holding back my anger so much right now. Show some compassion and sense and stop what you and the uninformed prosecutor are doing. If you don't, you can bet you won't win the next election. I and other outsiders will contribute to the campaign of whoever runs against you, hopefully someone with some human decency.

I own three dogs, all of which bark, that's what dogs do. Barking is not a sign of aggression, no more then a cat's meow is. If this grisly is what the law is there then this law needs to be rewritten. My feeling is that this is more about how some one is interpeting this law, then how it was written. I had a hamster that made no noise at all and was very aggressive, she drew blood almost every time I feed her. While my dogs that like to bark at every noise only attack visitors with love and kisses. Everything about this case stinks of hypocracy.

I am proud to support Walter and his family over the neighbor who obviously is a bully and animal hater. Surely the fine people of your city will not enforce an archaic ordnance that should be revised to actually deem humans who are the aggressor violent quarantining them to their residence without ability to leave without police escort for you know they are bound to attack someone.
