The stupidity of this situation is beyond belief. If my neighbor banged on my fence to startle me, I'd bark at him too. Let Walter go home to his human so he can do the job he was trained to do.

Dear Mr Mayor, please disregard all of the notions you have about Pit Bulls, and take one dog at a time. Walter means so much to his family and especially because he is a Service Dog. I'm quite confident Walter wouldn't even be considered a Service Dog if hadn't shown everyone involved that he is ready to be certified. Please, in these trying times, with all the negative stories, high crime and other sad news, please drop this issue with Walter and let him do the job he has trained for a n d bring a little happiness to this family.

One should not label a dog dangerous just because of his breed. If he jumped and barked and even growled at the neighbor on the other side of the fence, Walter was doing his job of protecting his family's property. To deem a dog dangerous, they should be put through exercises to check if they are aggressive and in what situations. I know in my 25 yrs of showing dogs and 42 years of owning dogs dangerous comes in various forms. Personally the smaller the dog the more likely they have been to nip someone. The big guys are usually under the adage of "The bark is worse than the bite". Please let Walter stay at his home with his owner that NEEDS him.

A dog barking is normal and responding by hitting the fence when provoked is not aggression it is normal protective canine behavior.

The dog was trying to protect his owner. Encourage people to ahow a little more consideration for those in need, instead of causing more problems. Service dogs need to be protected!

This dog was harassed by neighbors. Be fair here! Let him live with his family and be a service dog to his disabled owner. You might fine the neighbor for their actions.

I think it's wrong to label this dog, Walter, as a dangerous dog since he is a service dog and has gone through special training. Furthermore, labeling any particular breed as dangerous does a disservice to the breeds because it is the owner who makes the dog dangerous. Instead of wasting valuable taxpayers' money on cases like this, spend it on finding the people who raise and steal other dogs for dog fighting.

Please save Walter, he is a lifeline to Adam. It is very unfair to make Walter and his family pay for the actions of a person who apparently thinks it is ok to torment animals, and cry wolf after doing so. "PLEASE SAVE WALTER"
