This is pretty sad that you don't have a heart for the person that needs his dog. You take the life of his pet could very well take his life. Are you really that heartless. Most any dog will do what this dog did. My little dog will do the same. This is such a sad world we live in. So many people that doesn't have a heart.

There are enough very bad incidents relating to dogs. Period. Please do not add anymore to these unfortunate situations by doing this to Walter, the family dog and helper to their son with medical problems? BSL - Breed Specific Legislation is the MOST UNFAIR law that some governments had enforced. Please do not be blind to the facts of how much dogs, in general, are these days more than just human companions. They are considered the elite animals used in wars, police departments, helping the physically & mentally-challenged individuals, they save people and babies, and remain loyal & sources of joy to their owners for as long as they are with them.

Walter is a much needed member of the McAlister family. Sounds like the neighbor was tormenting him. He WAS on his own property!

All dogs will jump on a fence when teased. Dogs don't like someone posing a threat at their place of residence and where their human lives. Please, take Walters' progress in being trained to be of service in extreme consideration before you pass judgement on his life.

They should not have to register Walter as dangerous just because one stubborn neighbor says so. If Walter has passed his classes and behavior assessments his family and him should be left alone to live their lives in peace and happiness.

Man up & do the right thing & let Walter protect Adam. Pit Bulls are not vicious, just owners making them that way.

There is insufficient evidence to prove this dog is dangerous. What I see is "hearsay" and I'm not an attorney. By design a dog barks, but striking the fence is an admission of provocation and by no means a humane way of reacting to a bark.

Please consider all the facts, regarding the neighbor, who seems to be goading this dog! Strange that so many have deemed this dog worthy, yet one person seems out to destroy the family's joy!

Mayor Butler, please allow this service dog to do his job for his bonded human. If you were disabled, would you want your freedom taken away? Please give Walter a key to the city or special dispensation to live his life and help his human live his. Thank you.

Walter is a wonderful pup with a purpose! That neighbor should be punished and Walter needs to be left alone by the city!

Get a grip, you idiots & look to people who know dogs, before you condemn them as "dangerous ". Pathetic.

The neighbor should be cited for enticing the poor dog. Walter was protecting his family from a bad person. Dogs instinctively know when people are ok or not. I own a Pitbull and a golden retriever. My golden will go after anyone that even so much as walks by my house whereas my pit will just sit there and stare. It IS NOT the breed!!!!! It is how they are raised. Just as children are not born to hate. Hate is a learned thing. They learn hate from how they are raised. It is the same way with dogs. Please protect Walter and care for him. Do not condemn him for the acts of the neighbor. #IAMWITHWALTER. God Bless!

I'm with Walter. He has done nothing wrong. The neighbor taunted him, was on his own property. Seriously he barked didn't bite anyone and didn't leave his yard. Why do people have to make things difficult for others? People who are miserable love company, also they have too much time on their hands. I'm with Walter
