I grew up in Waialua whe the sugar mill was active. When i go home thats the first thing i see and remember lots of childhood memeories. Alot has changed in my home town but that is 1 of the few things that still remain, just a smoke stack.

This is a plantation town. We would like to honor its memory by preserving its legacy. We cannot do this without the new owners help and the community's participation.

The Stack has historical significance for Waialua and myself. Family members worked at Waialua Sugar, the mill was what Waialua is known for. Save the stack!

The smoke stack is so iconic to Waialua that sets this town a part from others. Growing up in Hawaii when I was younger and my family is from Waialua when I come to visit seeing that smoke stack reminds me I’m “home”
