There are chunks of rust falling from it. It’s the first landmark you see when you are offshore in a boat. Love it

The sugar mills are part of Hawai'i's history. It was an integral part of our past. My grandfather worked at several different sugar mills. It's as if our history is being wiped out One by one by money hungry people.

I grew up as a little girl riding from Kailua and the Mokuleia smoke stack was first to check if black snow or not. I refuse to see it go
