Reaching this point has been a grueling climb and my patience wears thin with the city council. Still, seeing this level of momentum proves that we refuse to let our no-kill shelter be sacrificed to county bureaucracy.

DONT DO IT. Keep it no kill. We have something special here.
So tired of the city trying to fix things that arent broken. Oakland county will just be more expensive and less helpful.
Our shelter is one of the best things about living in this town. Please leave it alone.
Ferndale needs to keep our own control. County services are always way worse and the local shelter people actually care about the dogs.
Waggs and Wishes does such a great job. Why would we want to change something that actually works for the animals?
