We, the undersigned, Ferndale Residents, Property Owners, Business Owners/Members of F.A.B. (Ferndale Association of Businesses) pledge our opposition to the proposed PSD (Principal Shopping District) Tax Assessment. The F.A.B. Organization (which was created for fair and equal representation of Ferndale's Business Community) agrees with the information provided - now is not the appropriate time to implement a tax increase. Our organization has also lost confidence with the current DDA (Downtown Development Authority) due to the manner in which it has handled the disclosure of accurate information regarding the proposed PSD Tax Assessment. It is for this reason we are requesting a complete review of the DDA's operations and a full audit of expenditures. Without receiving full and complete disclosure of the said PSD Tax Assessment we feel that a tax increase would deem itself a case of Taxation without Representation. With the forthright being stated, we plan to seek legal remedies if the will of the people is not represented by our duly elected officials. The people have spoken and articulated their will. It is now time for our elected officials to truly represent and advocate for the people.
