They actually listened and reversed the decision so Mini-THON is officially back on the schedule for us. Honestly I am still shaking a bit because I really thought they were going to stay stubborn but here we are with the win. Keep an eye on the boards for sign-up details …
A thousand signatures just popped up on the screen and I honestly had to refresh the page twice because whoa that is a lot of people who clearly agree that the Mini-THON cannot go anywhere. It is actually wild seeing how many of you care about this as much as I do (even if I am still trying to figure out how to format the printed list) but seriously thank you for keeping the momentum moving forward.

I was just staring at the screen and realized we are staring down the barrel of one thousand signatures and honestly my jaw is actually on the floor right now. If you have a second please just grab your phone and message a few people who might want to help us save this because we need to hit that mark before they take us seriously.

This was one of the best days of my life. I couldn't be prouder on this day to be a villa student, and I have never felt a stronger bond with a group of people in my life than I did at the first annual Mini-THON. Thank you to everyone who supported this event in the past four years. FTK always.

Long standing good traditions should not be broken The school administration has an obligation to involve students, and alumni before making an arbitrary decision to terminate the Mini Thon Tradition

I was so happy when we started this tradition during my years at VJMHS and I'd be extremely sad to see it go. There is room in everyone's lives and hearts to give their all to multiple organizations and charities! There's no need to disregard one and slight worthy causes on account of it!

My granddaughters love this and would never want to see it end. It teaches them compassion and makes them think of others before themselves. If you question the impact one person can make than they have already begun to change your mind

This event isn't only for the Villa girls, but it's for every kid out there fighting for their lives and as a sister whose brother has cancer why would you ever stop helping those kids who just want a chance at life?

Mini-thon was one of my favorite experiences and I'm so blessed to have been a part of every single one since it's very first year. It's such an amazing experience that does so much good, and I hope the staff of my alma mater reconsiders this decision. FTK
