If it helps just one kid to stay focused on something they are good at let it stay. We don't need to Nanny our kids we need to enable them.

Council would be better using time and resources to work with Matt to make the park a fun place for the kids. Better than graffiti or hooning.

Council should be thankful for one of its constituents contributing to municipal property in the absence of council doing anything to maintain it themselves.

It's a great community asset for all ages!! My brothers, friends and I spent nearly everyday there as teenages skating. Maybe the council or local councillor should work with Matt and community and see if they can make these changes made to improve safe to stay!!

I have a house close by and enjoy this spot whenever I'm in the area, it would be a real shame to see it taken away especially after so much effort has been put in to make something of nothing.

Matt should be applauded for improving a dated skatepark and giving back to his community and skaters ,the council should encourage this sort of selfless work not condemn it.Rad work Matt,hope sense prevails and your rad work remains.

KIDS NEED PLACES TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES AND TO SPEND TIME TOGETHER SKATE PARKS ARE EXCELLENT PLACES FOR CHILDREN TO DO THIS
THERE EXERCISING AND HAVING FUN TOGETHER
Next you'll pull it down them be ALL ANGRY AND PUT OUT because BORED CHILDREN will be running amuck graffitying and getting in trouble because they have nothing to do
And they will grow up with a hatred for power hungry money grabbing councilors just like you

This needs to stay! If only the council knew what the skateboarding industry was about. Not to mention the money and hard work people have put into it! It's people's own risk, they've built it for a reason why should someone be able to jeopardise this is beyond me!
