I have spent my entire life on the Umpqua and watching these rivers suffer is heartbreaking. Your comments show I am not alone in fearing what will happen if we start harvesting these wild fish again. We are currently preparing our testimony to ensure the commission understands that these heritage runs cannot handle this added pressure.

Seeing this level of support for the Umpqua wild steelhead proves that my community cares as deeply about these fish as I do. I am overwhelmed to see so many people fighting to keep our rivers healthy for future seasons.

I have spent my entire life on these rivers and watching these harvest proposals threatens everything I love about the Umpqua. We need to push past one hundred signatures right now to prove that our community refuses to let these wild fish disappear.

There are many places that one can harvest a Wild Steelhead, please don't let this be one of them. This is place is special, let's keep it that way. Thanks Tony for starting this petition.
Keep our wild fish wild. Harvest is not the right move here.
THESE FISH ARE TOO VALUABLE TO KILL. PLEASE LEAVE THEM ALONE.
The Umpqua is legendary for a reason. Lets not ruin it with outdated regs that kill off the best fish.
i grew up fishing these waters and we dont need more harvest. catch and release works just fine.
Special rivers and wild fish deserve exquisite protection.
