If you want to keep Uber and Lyft operating in New Mexico sign this petition!!!
As you may or may not be aware, the PRC of New Mexico has passed some regulations against Uber and Lyft threatening their ability to do business. It has already caused Lyft to stop operating in Albuquerque, and Uber may not be far behind.
We have started a campaign to save the ridesharing services and this petition is to gain support. Please sign this petition. We need strength in numbers to show the PRC that the regulations they pass for Uber and Lyft allow for them to be successful in this city and state. Ridesharing services have provided many positives to this city and it is something that consumers want and demand. They have reduced drunken driving incidents, they spur economic development, they make the city attractive to tourists and business travelers, they are supremely more reliable and cost effective, and we need them here.

I have been turned down by taxis before for a safe ride home from bars or told that there was a 4+ hour wait. Lyft and Uber have never done this to me. These companies provide a safe alternative when taxis fail to do their job.
Uber and Lyft provide the technology and customer service that Albuquerque's taxi system does not. If New Mexico cares at all about reducing DWIs, ride-share services will be encouraged, not dismantled.
I use Uber else where and I love it! I just started to use it in NM and I'm glad it's here. It gives cab companies competition to get it together; customer service, clean and newer cars, and efficiency for pickup.
NM had the highest DWI incidents in the country. Taking this away will not help it at all. Also people earn more income doing this as their job. Please do not take away what little we have in this state.
Keep Uber and Lyft. Our State is growing and our tourism can use this. If we want to compete with large cities for tourism and stay trendy, we need to move with those trends because they are expected.
I use Uber all the time! It's the best thing that's happened to Albuquerque since the first annual Balloon Fiesta.
Ridesharing services are great. I vote and they will continue to be an issue I seek in my elected officials.

Our public transport system isnt optimal. With a dtate that has super high drunk driving rates, rides like these literally save lives. It makes no sense to not have policies friendly to them. New Mexico ranks last in so much and has a bad enough rep as it is. Do we really just want to keep that spot?
