This land was designated park land for a reason. It is unconscionable for the city to even consider endeavouring to profit from it sale. The city of Saint John has several vacant lots that can be sold and developed instead of sacrificing this priceless resource.

Since Mr Tucker let 400 acres to the city I think the least we could do is keep that last 30 to 40 acres for posterity.

Ticket Park is a. beautiful family park. If you take a drive out and walk to the beach you will see the citizens of Saint John enjoying it. If this goes what will be next. The mayor and council needs to work on saving our parks not selling them.

Please do not sell Tucker Park on the Water. It is the only public access to our beautiful river. Once it is gone, we cannot get it back. There are several vacant properties uptown. Concentrate on selling those.

This is my favourite inner city park! It's a lovely escape from the urban area, without a lengthy commute. Taking away free spaces like these only deters people from living in our wonderful city. I find it unbelievable that building a few houses here will lower the tax rate or solve our economic dilemma. In my opinion, there are other businesses that could be properly taxed and numerous vacant or poorly maintained properties that could de restored/developed.

I live out west now however I have many fond memories at Tucker Park! It would be sad see this area developed!

This is a place our citizens can enjoy the Kennebecasis River - tell me Mr. Mayor, how many other places are available for us to do just that. Count them on the Saint John River tool This beach was meant to be for the citizens of Saint John and should remain as such. Please do not sell this land.

I spent many days swimming here as a child and worked there as a lifeguard too. It's an important recreation area that should be saved for the residents of Saint John.

This park and surroundings should be maintained as it was intended when it was gifted to the citizens of Saint John by the Tucker Family. We should not lose this beautiful green space to any sort of development. This proposal is very short sighted ...to raise tax revenue. We must look elsewhere...this is a jewel in our community. How proud and happy we are to have the privilege of such a lovely park in our area. With the funding that has accumulated by Colonel Tucker's niece's generous donation of the day.., the park should be maintained and enjoyed by all.
