Keep the green belt green. Throckley hasn't enough facilities to support new estates eg doctors, dentist etc.

It's a disgrace and keeping it quiet just shows how sneaky the process is. This is not wanted and not welcome and Throckley will unite against this.

The area is beautiful as it is and creating an access road onto Hexham road would create a huge amount of congestion for the existing residents

No consideration for the residents, wildlife or businesses in this area that will be forced to close. The roads, schools etc etc cant cope. Why here when there are other brown field sites. Once this countryside is destroyed there is no return - what will be left for future generations.

Just an absolute joke. Should never have sold off council houses in the first place. Going to be no green areas left anywhere and no where for the horses that have lived on the land for years and the other wildlife. And if this goes ahead are thn going to pay my horses insurance as will be crazy trying to have horses near a building site and hold on where will we exercise them in the new builds gardens ???

This area is over stretched as it is, there is not the infrastructure to support 1000 houses which in turn will mean 4000 people! There are already other areas close by allocated to building so this is just ridiculous to add more. Hexham road is congested already, the schools and drs are full, people use these areas for recreation and are full of wildlife. Throckley does not get enough money spent as it is, the litter around here is disgusting, this will exacerbate that

I am aware of the two houses bought to make room for a proposed road to the new site. The new motorway was built to relieve the traffic on Hexham Road in the 1970's i lived on that road and it made a massive difference So surely this is a backward proposal

Obvious access is at the Brickworks, roads into throckley are congested at the best of times so how are the roads to support any more cars !

I am horrified by the extent of this housing development. There is no thought for future sustainability, no thought for the damage to wildlife and habitat and it will change the environment in which we live for the worse.

This development is neither wanted nor needed here. There is no justification for ruining the greenbelt. Do they honestly believe that this 'plot B' road will prevent people using Drove road for access? How stupid can you be! It would spoil the lane forever for residents, walkers, horse riders, cyclists and wildlife.
