There is far to much traffic on Hexham rd at present with a bus service at about 1 very 6 minutes. Any access onto Hexham road would be rediculas and dangerous. Existing Buses, Wagons, Cars Vans even Tanks from Albemar, Pass directly infront of an Infant school. Only one major store, No public amanities, Noise Noise and vibration from existing traffic is terrible.

1100 homes means at least 1100 more cars on the roads and those cars are supposed to use Hexham road to access the site, it will cause absolute mayhem. The plan is flawed for this reason alone and homes should not be built on green-belt but brown-belt sites across the north east.

Keep our village Green and lay your concrete elsewhere. There are already too many developments in process and enough is enough.

Plans are too big, there's not enough amenities to accommodate them, not enough room in the schools and it's already too difficult getting an appointment with local doctors and dentists. Changes to hexham road and the opening on to it are also unacceptable and will push people dropping kids off at school onto other roads that are not double yellowed.

Why oh why did they come up with this site. it is ignorant of these developers and the council .you cant tell me that in the whole of the north east taking into consideration Brownfield sites and greenbelt that this us the only acceptable solution to the lack of housing. Go bak to the drawing board and come up with a better solution,am sure somewhere down the line there has to be someone with some common sense or am i deluding myself. These sites were not supposed to be built on so how are they getting around that it ? It makes you wonder what is really going on. We have this wonderful peice of history on our doorstep beautiful and wonderful Northumberland let it stay that way!

Throckley is a quiet little village,set in Northumberland greenbelt countryside.With Hadrians wall,Tyneside country park,miles of wonderful footpaths attracting visitors from around the world........
Why o why would anyone in their right mind even think about building on it all ?? Please Mr Council man, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

I am so disappointed and appalled in this shameful decision to build on UNESCO sites. They should be protected for future generations. Not every village in the north east has Hadrians wall running through it. Keep us a village please.

I have recently moved into Throckley as i appreciate the open spaces this location provides, surely there are sufficient brown sites within Newcastle upon Tyne without sacrificing precious green belt areas,

Why are we not first building on the old water works on Hexham Rd instead of green belt land The proposed housing estate off Newburn Road is on green belt land taking away the view we currently have.When we bought our house we were told it would never be built on The road into the estate is also directly in front of our house meaning further problems when trying to get out on to the already busy road The developers would not build here if the lived where we do Sham on you
