It's so depressing to think about. We need to keep the green land for the views and peace they create as they offer the chance for use to appreciate the natural beauty of our landscape. Even if it is just for a few fleeting moments on the way home, back from the stress and bustle of the city, it's something a price cannot be put on.

Newcastle City Council's attack on our dwindling green belt must be resisted. Brownfield sites should be fully utilised before developments encroach on vital habitats and open spaces.

Very little or no publicity about proposed new houses Newcastle councillors don't care as long as its not on their door steps remember there is an election due shortly this could be a very good topic for any opposition councillors to take up on labour seem to think they have a very safe seat here although not so long ago the lib dems gave them a shock and did a great job when in control of Newcastle council so be very aware what your voters thought are instead of taking us for granted and Jeremy Beecham sneering at us who does he think he is we have to live and work here the place is already going down hill fast money needs spending on throckley the way it is not on new houses on our greenfields!!!

Very little or no publicity about proposed new houses Newcastle councillors don't care as long as its not on their door steps remember there is an election due shortly this could be a very good topic for any opposition councillors to take up on labour seem to think they have a very safe seat here although not so long ago the lib dems gave them a shock and did a great job when in control of Newcastle council so be very aware what your voters thought are instead of taking us for granted and Jeremy Beecham sneering at us who does he think he is we have to live and work here the place is already going down hill fast money needs spending on throckley the way it is not on new houses on our greenfields!!!

heard access to Hexham road to ,550 houses that averages an extra 2000 cars with visitors daily plus heddon on the wall drivers, the road carnt take it ,my concern is safety and welfare of the kids and folk in general as cars go up that road like formula one .

Throckley is a small village on the outskirts of the city, it doesn't need another 1,100 homes, not there. There are more sensible areas to develop, areas that can cope with over a thousand new homes and thousands of people flooding the area. Throckley has always been a small working community and simply doesn't have the infrastructure to deal with this many new houses.

Not only are they proposing these houses on the green belt, more importantly they will destroy evidence and landscape which is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Hadrian's Wall. North of the wall at Throckley Middle School whilst demolishing the 19th century old school a section of wall was uncovered and at the Waterworks the 'Walbottle Hoard' of 5000 Roman coins were discovered. How many more artefacts and evidence may there be in the development site? None of this is mentioned in the papers from the developers. They are not concerned with destroying and building over this special part of Throckley's heritage! We need to keep protesting.

Green belt is green belt for a reason. Throckley, Callerton and the surrounding villages are countryside villages and should not be ruined by hundreds of houses!

Will the bridal path between Drove road and the back of the brickworks remain? Are there enough school places? Obviously none of the planners or council employees who voted for these houses live in Throckley. I am not happy at all. Could you please forward all the names of those who voted to allow all these houses to be built.

this is wrong in so many ways, at least 550 more cars using local roads and more intrusion on green belt when there is plenty brown sites to choose from, once again the feelings of locals will be ignored, or deemed not important enough, its a total disgrace!!!!
