SCC are collecting rates for the waste collection service. Why do we at Haslemere have to add to the environment problems by making all the individual journeys to Witley. Do not take it away.

I am a regular user of this great facility - this is a crazy decision penalising people who don't have their own transport so what's the alternative increased fly tipping which nobody wants

From Hindhead to the nearest household waste facility we drive either 11 miles there and back into Farnham or 16 miles there and back to Witley. If SCC take stop the household facility at the Fairground residents have a legal right to ask for compensation.

I used to live in Haslemere and the Saturday dust carts were vital to the area for people to go to with their rubbish.
Is the council trying to force people into more fly tipping please use your brains

Come on SCC - some of us can't drive and this provides an invaluable service for those that can't who are able to drag their refuse with or without assistance to Wey Hill car park but can't get out of town to Worley / Milford too. Start thinking of the community you're serving rather than your bottom line!

A very useful service. Think carefully about this decision as unfortunately people are inclined to fly tip when amenities are not readily available.

This is quite simply a fundamental service for Haslemere. Our rates are rising and the services diminishing,, this is wrong and has to be reversed. Ross Lovelock

This area was left to the people of haslemere and high jacked by waverly to raise money. Fewer spaces would be provided. Disgusting.
