I just moved to Haslemere and my recycling is always full, along with my black bin and I have a compost and a garden waste... I find it a needed service... I'd even be happy if it was available every other week if cost is a factor.

Getting rid of this service will lead to more domestic bonfires which already blight rare sunny days. The green collection service is a relatively expensive alternative to dispose of a (large) lawn's worth of grass cuttings every week.

Haslemere Town Council strongly oppose the removal of this facility and have asked Surrey County Council for further details about the content of the rubbish being deposited and to justify the savings they claim will be made.

Surely by sheer the size of the population of Haslemere it deserves this service as cheap alternative (for Surrey CC) to providing a full, Witley style facility. The round trip drive to Witley by car is hardly environmentally friendly.

An excellent facility that without it would mean far more cars having to drive a 15 mile round journey to Witley, clogging up the roads and poluting the air.
