CAC charges us so much money and posts ads at the tail end of our season meanwhile Avocados from Mexico ads are running all year long. They go to Paris and Chile on boondoggles at our expense. Absolutely worthless taxation we are forced to pay so they can do as the homeless, nothing!!!!!!! #Times Up CAC.

We can’t compete with foreign labor prices, and costs of production. Hopefully they can regulate imports to keep us in the game. With more and more foreign planting going on, there may be a point of over production.

Concerned about the burdens being shouldered by the small farmers while the large growers and packers are able to use both foreign and domestic fruit to profit. This is not sustainable.

In my opinion CAC is worthless. All it does is take our money. It does nothing to promote the superior quality of CA avocados while the grocery stores sell our products for the same price of inferior Mexican avocados. Plus, most consumers have no idea if the avocados they are eating come from CA or from Mexico. It’s maddening

I am concerned truly with the position of the CAC regarding their position with competition from foreign markets. I understand imports are a reality, but more could be done to represent our industry thru CAC, are we avocados growers bound to dissapear?

The CAC, while having original purposeful goals has grown beyond practicality. Stop the frivolity of promotional travel and recipe development and let's help the struggling farmers. How about more emphasis on water pricing control? Reports from entomologists on invading pests and how to enhance fruit production is helpful. Additionally, gathering growers for discussion and support has been useful in the past.
