we actually did it and the grange is officially staying put. thank you for helping me stop the demolition because this win belongs to all of you. we are going to keep a close eye on the refurbishment plans to make sure they follow through.

Final supporters
ADC wants to pull the Grange down and charge each of the 4 users on site for a lease to the tune of c£5k per annum to provide an income to maintain the rest of the site..
We want to refurbish the Grange and provide a small profit to maintain it instead and still provide leases to the 4 users (so if needed they can go for funding).
ADC have given no logical reason as to why they intend to pull it down.

im still trying to get a straight answer from adc about why they think demolition is the only option here. it makes no sense to throw away this building when we have a better plan that actually saves money for everyone involved.

were getting near 100 signatures and i want to have this momentum hitting hard when we talk to the council. please send this to a few people who live nearby because we really need the extra pressure right now.

Very sad. Big companies are all too quick to demolish things for the sake of possible future planning snd making lots if money without considering the consequences for the local community. Refurbishing the building sounds like a sensible and environmentally friendly solution. Local tradesman could be used to do the work and benefit from the project.
by demolishing the Grange you are destroying the prospects of the younger generation joining in with sporting activities. This club is proud of its history and wants a fair chance of being able to carry the tradition on.
i remember it being the old teveral welfare only place my brother walter would go in his wheelchair after is accident down the mines shame to see it demolished
Great community club need to fight against the authorities we tried at Glapwell and lost the only sufferers the community club dont let this happen again
I have been to the Grange on many occasions and still use the site, being a member of the bowls club and it would be another terrible shame should ADC go-ahead with these demolition plans.
I visited the ground recently with our team hemsworth miners welfare and received a warm welcome and could see that the set up is a community based facility which we all need more of not less good luck Teversal fc

This is a hugely valuable local community asset. The councils negligence and lack of transparency over its running of the site, consultation with the users and local community and decision processes are astounding.
