We The Undersigned:
write to you as a concerned local residents.
feel that the increasing number of Estate Agents in Turnham Green Terrace is adversely affecting the street, the area and the livelihoods of the remaining independent traders struggling to make a living in a tough climate.
believe that it is the responsibility of the council to protect the character and nature of this traditional shopping street, support independent traders and encourage a healthy mix of all trades in each shopping area for the benefit of all. Failure to take control of the 'Town Centres' will result, we believe, in a worse shopping experience for everybody. We would like to see the council take back control and help get our beloved towns back on their feet.
We call on Hounslow Council to make more responsible decisions when handling applications for change of use on Turnham Green Terrace and to respect the fact that granting ever more A2 (non-retail) usages threatens the character of a street that has been a traditional shopping parade for over a hundred years.
would like you to please use your powers to encourage a healthy mix of independent trades.

The council has not yet responded to our concerns about the changing storefronts on Turnham Green Terrace. Keep the pressure on by emailing your local representative to demand a stop to these new A2 applications. Post the petition link on Facebook and text three friends who live in the area to tell them why this street matters.

its getting impossible to buy anything useful. please fix this before every independent shop is gone for good.
What a joke. Hounslow council please wake up and look at the state of the street.
Too many estate agents already. We need real shops not just windows for houses we cant afford anyway.
so sad to see my favourite shops closing. miss the variety we used to have
KEEP THE CHARACTER OF OUR AREA. enough is enough.

sick of seeing the neighborhood turn into nothing but glass storefronts. keep turnham green for the people who actually live here.
