I have been to Steep Rock kayaking 2 years now. I love Steep Rock, Peter's business is awesome and I love the goats! Please keep them on the island!!

The goats are a fun addition to a beautiful place. We need to help Peter maneuver through the bureaucratic red tape to allow the goats to continue their work of attracting tourists and boasting the local economy. Save Hopper and Gonzo!

Why are locals complaining? Seems strange. I visited steep rock last year and seems to me they should welcome people coming to the area.

I will certainly sign this petition to keep the goats. That island is useless for anything. Who on earth in the community is complaining?? I've spent time in Steep Rock, years ago my father was the last full time UC minister there. I don't know if the church is still consecrated because the population has dwindled to hamlet size with the closure of the quarry, etc. The beautiful limestone cliffs end up on so many Manitoba publications.....an old MTS phone book, the latest Manitoba Tourism brochure, etc, etc Tourism is the only thing keeping Steep Rock going & it's only a summer thing. I know there are many cottages there but why would cottagers be complaining??

Absolutely ridiculous that one person's complaint would cause the removal of these goats

We are going camping there JUST for the goats. They need to stay!

Let’s the goats stay in the island! Would people complain if there were deer grazing on the island? Sounds like a personal vendetta perhaps.

Rules are there for a reason, but show some common sense. It's in the public's interest to let the goats stay.

Insane! Save the goats! Tourism promotes the destination with goats, and then takes from the community and Manitoba Tourism (it's self). Province has far more urgent problems to spend our tax dollars on !

The goats are a lovely attraction. They keep the trails groomed and don’t bother anybody. I love going to the little community along the shore there too. Please allow the goats to continue to graze peacefully on the little island!

There are no negatives to having Gonzo and Hopper on the island but there are many positives. There should be no further debate here.
