There is more reason to let these goats stay on crownland to promote economic development in the area and also show that government can solve regulatory problems through common sense and reason.

It’s a deserted island. If the goats were wild they would not be removed. Perhaps they should just be abandoned for each summer. It takes only one petty person to make every one else suffer. Shame on the complainant and shame on MB Gov.

I think this is just petty because clearly some people have a lot of time on their hands and nothing useful to do with their time! These animals are really not hurting anyone and should be allowed to stay the summer and then paperwork can get done so they can come back each summer! I love animals and Hopper and Gonzo and Bianca too are not objects for people to use for their own stupid and juvenile soapboxes! This is good for the businesses and good for the animals and therefore good for the island! Grow up people, what are you, 12 ??? Find a more mature use of everyone’s time and leave the animals alone! Stop threatening animals! You need to be medicated by the sounds of it!!!

I’m very disappointed to learn of this. I was hoping to go to steep rock and see the goats. There will be a loss in tourism. Give more time for him to apply for grazing permit!

2 suspected murderers on the loose and the government is wasting energy on grandstanding against 2 friendly goats that aren’t harming anyone? Are they changing the name of the Island to Goatless Island while they're at it?

These goats have been a great addition to Steep Rock, little celebs if you will. It would be a shame to have them removed.
