These goats were the only reason my family and I went out to Steep Rock a few weekends ago. They aren't hurting anyone and create quite the little tourist attraction. Leave the goats on the island where they belong!!!

It is good for tourism, it is good for the wildlife, and it is good for Manitoba. Leave the goats be for this year, but NEXT YEAR require the grazing permit.

Surely the government has better things to focus on than a small business owner bringing tourists to this part of Manitoba. What a travesty that one small minded individual could bring about this change - shame on you whomever you are!!!! We just saw Hopper & Gonzo a few weeks ago - they were the reason we took time to travel 2.5 hours down a smoky, rough highway - and IT WAS WORTH EVERY MOMENT.

The goats look healthy and happy. Not sure what complaints the locals can have. Goats are fairly quiet, so maybe the extra tourists? Unfortunately all I can see is the local businesses will be the ones hurting from less tourists in the area... also please if they’re sold, sell them to a pet farm, they’re to old to be good meat!!
